During the Spring/Summer season, pleasant days can be spent on the lake shores, making use of several equipped areas. These are small beaches with wooden piers or spaces equipped with service features (bars, playground games and picnic tables). • Lago di Varese – Varese – Località Schiranna
  Ample green park on the lake shore, where one can suntan and organise pleasant picnics since the area is equipped with barbecue fire pits. A cycling path, outdoor swimming pool, children’s games, a playground train on week ends and two restaurants with accommodation possible, is available, as well as a capacious parking area.
  
  
• Lago di Varese - Cazzago Brabbia – Località Porticciolo
  An actual beach doesn’t exist: sun tanning is enjoyed on the nearby boulders and the lake is accessed from the wooden pier. There is a small parking area and is fitted out with picnic tables.
  
  
• Lago di Monate – Cadrezzate – Località Lido
  The lido beach is one of the most popular and well-equipped. It features a bar with a table tennis table and a beach volley-ball court. Sunbeds, pedaloes and canoes are available for rental.
  
  
• Lago di Monate – Travedona Monate – Località Porto Vecchio
  Well kept beach with a lawn and sand and a small patio area where it is possible to sunbathe.
  
  
• Lago di Monate – Comabbio – Località Campeggio Lago di Monate
  The beach is shaded and pebbled, and has a beautiful view. There is a campsite adjacent with a restaurant and access to a private beach.
  
  
• Lago di Monate – Osmate – Località Spiaggia Comunale
  In the dappled shade of chestnut trees, this is a peaceful oasis. A starting point for panoramic walks.
  
  
• Lago Maggiore – Angera – Località Campeggio città di Angera
  Ample and sunny beach with a nice grassy field and small woods stretching down to the lake shore. Camping ground, offering a restaurant and a swimming pool.
  
  
• Lago Maggiore – Ranco – Località Spiaggia di Caravelle
  Moderately sized beach, with sun and shade, thanks to the tall trees.
  
  
• Lago Maggiore – Castelveccana – Località Spiaggia Cinque Arcate
  A beautiful beach with small rocks, sand mixed with gravel, surrounded by a small crown of trees. Alongside the road, two panoramic viewpoints are fitted with stone benches and tables.
  
  
• Lago Maggiore – Brezzo di Bedero – Località Spiaggia Comunale
  Ample sunny beach, with a beautiful view stretching through to the Cannero castles.
  
  
• Lago Maggiore – Maccagno – Località Ronco delle Monache
  Splendid beach with an amazing view, ideal for sun tanning but also for relaxing under the nearby linden trees.

  Small smooth rock beach pleasant shaded by trees.

  Very sunny beach, without shaded areas, offering a beautiful view.
