Rowing on Lake Monate
Just a few kilometres from Lake Comabbio, the tranquil waters of Lake Monate have provided rowing with a welcome and successful home, for decades.
The rowing club, "Canottieri Monate", was founded in 1971, to promote the sport in this area.
Lake Monate is an excellent race venue, and like Lake Varese and Lake Comabbio, it is surrounded by the spectacular backdrop of the Alps and the Alpine foothills, which make rowing here even more enjoyable.
