River Giona

The right banks of the river Giona are those with the highest population: a few small villages linked by a winding road leading from Maccagno to Indemini, in Swiss territory: Veddo, Garabiolo, Cadero, Graglio, Armio, Lozzo and Biegno. On the other side, there is just one town, Curiglia, with Monteviasco, which cannot actually be reached from Maccagno, at the downstream end of the valley formed by the river Giona. The road to Curiglia in fact runs from Luino.
