Views over the lake from the Morselli park

An enchanting green oasis near Lake Varese.

The Morselli park, a donation by Bologna writer Guido Morselli to the municipality of Gavirate, is part of a valuable natural setting above the small church Santa Trinità, on the municipal boundary. The park is important in terms of its natural and landscape qualities. It has a children's recreation area, and a picnic area, and it is an ideal location in which to spend relaxing days in the open air.

The park is distinctive for its terraced layout, which means that once you have reached the highest part, you will enjoy the marvellous views over Lake Varese and, on clear days, you will be able to appreciate the fascination of the surrounding subalpine hills. Admission to the park is free, and the entrance is next to the small church of Santa Trinità.
