The Pralugano path
The path that was specifically designed to facilitate visits to the Pralugano peat bog area and Lake Ganna can be reached by following the signs for path no. 15, Ganna-Brinzio, on Strada Provinciale (provincial road) no. 11 for Bedero, about a hundred metres after the monastery Badia di San Gemolo.
The itinerary begins near the bridge of river Pralugano, and it runs along the perimeter of the Reserve for about 1,300 m, in a north-west direction. The path, with wooden fencing in some points, offers easy access, with wooden walkways that simplify the passage across obstacles or rough sections.
The route makes it possible to understand the principal characteristics of a wetland habitat, by means of educational panels presenting specific information on the various areas, and with panoramic viewpoints at certain positions on the path.
