The Appiano Gentile and Tradate pinewood regional park

The "Parco Pineta" (pinewood park) protects a wonderful and complex ecosystem, and it offers a fascinating escape from the rigours of everyday life. Woodland scenes alternate with clearings, vast areas of ferns below and conifer needles above. But the main quality of this park is its uncontaminated tranquillity, strenuously defended from all attempts at building development. The extraordinary scenario thus created is also an area in which visitors can enjoy the peace and spectacle of nature, and its small inhabitants, whether furred or feathered.
