Monte Cadrigna

One of the mountains in the Varese subalpine chain, offering many opportunities for hiking and winter sport.

Monte Cadrigna (which reaches a height of about 1,300 metres) is situated just west of the Forcara Pass. From the peak, which can be reached by following a well-marked mule track that, at a certain point, takes you to the small church at the pass, you will enjoy the superb views over the northern part of Lake Maggiore and the Swiss subalpine chain.

In winter periods, the mountain is ideal for Alpine skiing (the total length of the pistes reaches about 1.5 kilometres), and there is also a cross-country skiing piste.
