The Marnate bunker

One of the largest bunkers in the southern part of the Province forms a distinctive feature in the area's landscape heritage

This defensive military fortification was built by the Germans during the 1940s, probably during operation Odessa, even though it is not exactly clear what the bunker was used for during the last months of the Second World War.

The cavity is a distinctive feature in the landscape, on the road leading up to Prospiano, because it is about a hundred and fifty metres long, 1.80 metres wide and 2.10 metres high.
